NORTH POLE (TDJ) During Workshop Spokesman Frosty T. Snowman’s daily press briefing, Santa Claus made a surprise appearance.
Santa Claus Delivers Statement On Operation Reindeer
Greetings, Friends.
I am happy to report that Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and his men are home safe in The North Pole. At 2300 hours last evening, an elite team of Elves from the 1225th Elfantry launched their Operation Reindeer rescue effort near Crazyville in the Southern U.S.
Rudolph and his team are recovering and resting comfortably in the Tim Cratchit Memorial Hospital. He has expressed interest in making a statement when he is able to do so, but has asked for privacy for his men, and all of their families while they are recovering.
While we reason to celebrate today, I ask that we all take a moment and remember one of our own that did not make it home. I have spoken to Randy The Red Shirt Reindeer’s mother and expressed my condolences and gratitude for Randy’s sacrifice.
I have authorized Secretary Frost to posthumously award Randy the Purple Sugar Plum for his bravery in the line of duty.
Secretary Frost is preparing an assessment of the situation and will release it to the public as soon as he has it completed.
Thank you.
Press Secretary Snowman Urges Patience
Santa did not respond to questions on Operation Reindeer that the Press Corp hollered out as he was leaving, but sent Press Secretary Snowman to the podium to continue the briefing.
“I know you all have a lot of questions, but I ask that you have a little patience as we work to sort all of this out. All I can tell you now is that Rudolph suffered a broken leg and has lost his left antler.”
When asked why Rudolph didn’t see the airplane sooner, Frosty replied, “It is my understanding that Colonel Rudolph was recovering from a cold, so his nose wasn’t so bright that night. But, again, I must stress that we need to wait until things get sorted out. Any information I could provide on Operation Reindeer would be purely speculation at this point.”
This reporter is so thankful that his friend has returned safely. Please stay tuned to The Daily Jingle. We will keep you posted as new developments arise.
